Certain documents require legalization or authentication before they are used in another county or your place of residency. For instance, some circumstances include getting married, adopting a child, applying to a university, or receiving an inheritance abroad. If your destination country is a member of the Hague Convention, you will need an Apostille on the document. If the country is not part of the Hague Convention, give us a call at 415-239-6600, as the document will likely require further processing. Click here for a list of Hague Convention members.
