California Apostille & Authentication Document Processing

Document Legalization

Written by californiaapostille on July 13th, 2010

Certain documents require legalization or authentication before they are used in another county or your place of residency. For instance, some circumstances include getting married, adopting a child, applying to a university, or receiving an inheritance abroad. If your destination country is a member of the Hague Convention, you will need an Apostille on the document. If the country is not part of the Hague Convention, give us a call at 415-239-6600, as the document will likely require further processing. Click here for a list of Hague Convention members.

The following is a list of the types of documents that need a California Apostille, notary or other form of authorization:

Birth, Death, and Marriage Certificates
Divorce Certificates and Decrees
Other Court Documents
Power of Attorney
Background Checks
School Transcripts
Affidavits
Certificate of Good Standing
Articles of Incorporation & Bylaws
Application to be an English Teacher in South Korea
Dual Citizenship
